Drake – May 25
Drake, the young and influential hip-hop star that began his career with the hit single “You the Best” will be playing out the Verizon Center tonight. He is currently on his Club Paradise Tour and will be performing hits from his most recent album “Take Care.” Drake’s concert will include performances by other well-known artists: J.Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meel Mill, 2 Chainz and French Montana. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are still on sale.
DJ lil’e – May 25
Erin Mayers, known to the public as DJ lil’e, will be spinning turntables at the 9:30 Club tonight. The performance has been called “Lady Gaga and Madonna vs Katy and Britney” and will feature bumping pop music to dance the night away. Doors open at 9:00 p.m.
Amel Larrieux – May 25
From jazz standards to her hip-hop beginnings with Groove Theory, Amel Larrieux continues to deliver her style of neo-soul on such hits as “For Real” and “Sweet Misery.” Larrieux will perform at 8 p.m. at The Howard Theatre. Tickets are $35. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Eric Roberson – May 26
Influenced by elements of R&B, house, hip hop, jazz and rock, Eric Roberson released his latest album When Love Calls in February. The singer of smooth soul also released his first video earlier this year, “At the Same Time” from hisMr. Nice Guy album. Roberson will perform at 7:30 p.m. at The Birchmere. Tickets are $35.
The Used – May 30
Rock band The Used will be making their way to town on Wednesday, May 30th, with their headlining show at the Fillmore. The band is out in support of their most recent album, Vulnerable, and will have Dead Sara and Stars in Stereo in support. Doors are at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25.
