Thousands of Chuck Brown fans and residents of the Washington metropolitan area paid respects to the legendary go-go musician on May 29 during a public viewing at The Howard Theatre.
The viewing, scheduled for Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., had drawn more than 10,000 visitors by 5 p.m., according to a spokeswoman for The Howard.
The public viewing will be followed by a memorial service on May 31, noon-3 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center.
